At Patel Energy, we make our pellets from sustainable biomass generated from the harvest and manufacturing of other wood products. We purchase biomass from a variety of suppliers including large sawmill companies, harvesting contractors, farmers in a variety of forms including sawdust and agriculture biomass.
What is biomass / wood pellet?
Biomass / wood pellets (or pellets fuel) are biofuels made from compressed organic matter or biomass. Pellet fuel is a renewable, clean-burning and cost-effective alternative energy source for heat and power generation
Why are pellets powerful?
That’s because of the high energy density per kilogram of pellets. Which means higher amount of energy that can be stored in a given amount of a material compared to wood chips and other biomass. By compressing sawmill and biomass residues into a pellet, biomass becomes significantly more energy dense. Wood pellets can also have very low moisture content, giving them a high combustion efficiency – an important feature in heat and power generation.
Why pellets are economical?
It replaces expensive and pollutive fossil fuels such as diesel, furnace oil, coal, LPG, natural gas-based systems into a biomass-based system, which is economical, carbon neutral, clean and sustainable.
